Grim-E1 Bomba rocket: experts voiced the characteristics of a new Russian Cab

According to Defense Express analysts, "Grim-E1" was used to attack-a rare sample of managed weapons that combines the characteristics of the rocket and bomb. This is not the first case of use of Grim-E1 in Ukrainian cities. The ammunition fragments have been recorded publicly since March 2023. And during 2024 cases of use of this weapon in Kherson, Kharkiv and Mirnograd, mainly against civil infrastructure, were recorded.

Grim-E1 ammunition is part of the Aviation-Managed Aviation Army family, developed by the tactical missile weapons corporation. It is a managed aviation weapon that combines the properties of a rocket and a planning bomb. Its weight is 594 kg, of which more than half - about 315 kg - falls on the combat part. The design of the product is a built -in marching engine, which allows it to overcome considerable distances after dropping from the aircraft.

The maximum flight range "Groma-E1" can reach up to 120 km, but this is only possible during starting from a height of about 12 km and at a speed of about 1600 km/h. In more typical conditions-for example, when dumped from 5-kilometer altitude-the range is significantly reduced and is approximately 35 km. Thus, the efficiency of the use of ammunition depends directly on the altitude and speed characteristics of the carrier.

The existence of the Grim-E2 modification, which is devoid of the engine and is designed to damage the targets at smaller distances, is not more than 65 kilometers. In this case, it can be equipped with either fragmental-fugitive or volumetric-detonating combat part, which expands its range of combat use.
