The Russian Armed Forces control 95% of Pokrovsk, and the Armed Forces control only "Citadel": which new cities are under threat - the officer

Share: The armed forces of the Russian Federation are trying to use drones to attack the logistics routes to Mirnograd and Pokrovsk from Rodinsky, an Austrian army officer said. Pokrovsk is almost completely controlled by the Russians, and the Ukrainians have gained a foothold in the "Citadel" development area. According to the officer, the occupied agglomeration of the Russian Armed Forces will be used for wintering, and then they will threaten two more cities on opposite sides of the front.

After the loss of Pokrovsk, threats will increase significantly in Siversk of the Donetsk region and in Gulyaipol of the Zaporizhia region, Colonel of the Austrian Armed Forces Markus Reisner said in an interview with the NTV media. The Russians will use the surviving buildings of the occupied Pokrovsk to survive the winter months. According to Reisner, the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are defending "the last remnants of Pokrovsk", while the Russians control 90-95% of the settlement.

However, he admits that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are not in the city "in person", but keep important logistical routes under fire control. Meanwhile, the Ukrainians are holding on to the "Citadel" — a group of buildings in the northeast. In addition, the colonel confirmed the threat to Myrnograd. In his opinion, several hundred Ukrainians are blocked there, whom the command is trying to save. "Some believe that there are several thousand soldiers there.

I estimate that there are several hundred of them. That is why the Ukrainians must evacuate these soldiers. The Russians are attacking from the north, as if in pincers," the interview continues. The colonel clarified that the Russians are in Rodinsky, located north of Mirnograd and Pokrovsk, and are firing drones at logistics from there. At the same time, units of the Defense Forces are trying to knock them out of there: in case of success, the blocked fighters will be able to retreat.

Reisner noted that probably the ZSU should not have stayed so long in Myrnograd. However, a possible reason for such a delay is the need to build fortifications on new frontiers, simultaneously exhausting the enemy. "If large units were captured, it would be a disaster," the colonel explained. Reisner also announced the next plans of the Russian Armed Forces and which new Ukrainian cities are at risk.

It should be noted that on November 7, the German media ZDF reported about the special tactics of the Russian Armed Forces in Pokrovsk. Analysts explained that at first the city was penetrated by subversive groups that did not expect the main forces to be drawn up, but carried out random attacks and ambushes. Because of this, the drone operators of the Armed Forces were under threat and were forced to withdraw.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military shared their impressions of the events in Pokrovsk and said that "chaos" was happening there. Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces announced that 200-300 Russians had sneaked into the city: the situation is under control, there is no encirclement. We remind you that on the evening of November 11, footage of the arrival of Russian Armed Forces soldiers in Pokrovsk appeared online: the Russians were moving on motorcycles and in open cars.
