War in Israel undermine Ukraine's hope for peaceful summit - Wall Street Journal

According to Western journalists, Ukraine has lost the support of Saudi Arabia, which was considered as a reputable mediator for negotiations. The reason for the loss is the event in Israel, where war with Islamic terrorists takes place. Over the coming months, a peaceful summit was to be held at the initiative of Ukraine, which would discuss various opportunities for the end of the war with the Russian Federation.

However, as a result of the war in Israel, a number of countries important for negotiations have switched their attention to new challenges. This is stated in an article published by The Wall Street Journal. The publication has noted a number of problems that the Ukrainian government has arisen in connection with the events in Israel. Due to new circumstances, journalists doubt that a reputable international event in Ukraine will take place in the coming months.

"Now it looks unlikely, so do diplomats," WST writes. According to the authors of the article, the peaceful summit hinders the following problems: however, the media points out that "peace talks at the level of officials will continue. " In particular, European politicians believe that this process is useful "to build diplomatic links and to balance diplomatic initiatives of other countries, such as China, less dedicated to Ukraine.

" It should be noted that on October 28 there was a peaceful summit, which was attached to more than 60 countries. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke to the summit, who reminded the formula of peace proposed in the spring of 2023. We would like to remind you that Presidential Office Andriy Yermak spoke about the relations between Zelensky and the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny.
