Putin's Blue Dream: GUR spoke about the participation of the Army of Belarus in the war against Ukraine

According to the intelligence representative Andriy Yusov, the Kremlin pressed on Minsk so that the troops of the Armed Forces of the RB directly assisted the occupiers in land operations, but nothing happened in 2 years. The forces of Ukraine's defense are kept under constant control of the direction of Belarus, but the Land Forces of the RB during the Russian invasion were not involved in the war.

This was stated by a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense (GUR MO) Andriy Yusov during a briefing on "Situation in the Temporarily Occupied Territories in 2023 and Challenges in 2024" January 17. According to him, the involvement of the Belarusian army in land operations in the territory of Ukraine remains the "blue dream" of Russian President Vladimir Putin. At the same time, for 2 years, he never managed to persuade Alexander Lukashenko to go for it.

"Despite direct and indirect exhortations and pressure, Putin has not achieved this. And now the situation has not changed. Yes, all kinds of training, all kinds of interaction, eventually referred to the so-called union state, the maximum level of integration of the security sector, defense Sector, it remains and will remain, and these exercises are known, they are largely propaganda, " - said Andrey Yusov.

Separately, the GUR representative noted that the interaction between Minsk and Moscow still is, in particular in the security sector. The transfer of weapons, equipment, ammunition, etc. was recorded, but in terrestrial operations of the Armed Forces did not participate. But, everything can change at any time.

"This is not a reason to relax, we, of course, are tracking the situation at the border and in general, in general, the Belarusian direction, but the situation is unchanged so far," says Andrei Yusov. Also, the network regularly appears that the offensive is planned from the territory of Belarus, but intelligence has urged Ukrainians to trust only official sources.
