The United States first imposed sanctions against those who bypassed the price ceiling for oil from the Russian Federation: who is talking about

Two companies that bought "black gold" at the highest price came under the restriction of the US Ministry of Finance. For the first time, the United States of America has imposed sanctions in response to a rounding of price restrictions on Russian oil. It became known on October 12, 2023 from the notification of the sanction unit of the Ministry of Finance of the country (ofac).

It is known that the sanctions touched the shipping companies Lumber Marine SA with the UAE and Turkish Ice Pearl Navigation Corp. It is noted that the first suspected transportation of Russian oil oil Novy Port on the SCF Primorye tanker at a price of 75 per barrel. This information was later confirmed. And the Turkish company owns a Yasa Golden Bosphorus tanker that transported ESPO oil at a price of $ 80 per barrel. It is noteworthy that both vessels used the services of US companies.

"Today's decision is demonstrating our constant commitment to reducing Russia's resources for its war against Ukraine and maintaining prices," said US Deputy Minister of Finance, Wolly Adey. Through sanctions, these companies will be much more difficult to participate in the world of "black gold". It should be noted that the oil embargo on oil supplies from Russia to the EU came into force on December 5, 2022. The ceiling of prices for Russian oil was set at $ 60 per barrel.

At the same time, against the background of restrictions, the aggressor country began to cooperate more actively with the UAE to sell energy in this country. In addition, the Russians managed to create a shadow fleet that bypassed international sanctions and delivered Russian oil to buyers around the world. Meanwhile, neither the US nor the G7 see no concern about Russian oil and are not going to revise prices for it.
