Battle for Pokrovsk: As the Russians try to cut the key artery of the front

Kovalenko claims that the Russians try to act at the same time from several directions. In particular, their offensive is conducted to Mirnograd through Mirolyubivka and Moscow, where they try to go along the Sinna River and go again into the new economic through Malynivka.
It is in this location, northeastern, that the largest concentration of units of Russian occupation troops is now observed. Significant forces are deployed here, which indicates the priority of this sector for the command of the Russian Federation. "Mostly in this zone there are units of the 51st All-Military Army and the 8th All-Military Army.
However, they received significant reinforcement from the Kursk direction: the 40th separate brigade of the Marines, the 155th brigade and other units of the landing troops. A dense front line where every attack requires considerable resources, "says Focus Kovalenko. In parallel, according to the expert, the Russians are trying to continue offensive actions on the Rodinsky and Red estuary.
They do not leave attempts to expand the control area in the direction of Druzhkivka, trying to create bridgeheads for a further breakthrough. But thanks to the Ukrainian stabilization actions, the Russians are almost unable to expand their control zones. They carry great losses in live strength and technology. It is the result of effective defense of the Armed Forces, artillery strikes, drones and counter -batteries.
Military correspondent Bogdan Miroshnikov notes that under Pokrovsk battles are critical. According to him, the enemy has re -occupied the villages of Kotlyne and good luck - this is not the first time in intensive battles in the region. These settlements have changed their hands several times due to the fierce counterattacks of the Armed Forces, but now the Russians are trying to fix themselves and move towards the Pokrovske mine management.
This mine is a key object known for coking coal production, which is of strategic importance for industry and logistics. The Russians actively use "meat assault" tactics, where the Russians throw infantry forward without sparing losses to exhaust the Armed Forces. Artillery, drones and small arms of Ukrainian soldiers inflict significant losses, but the pressure of the Russian army does not weaken. Ukrainian fighters hold counterattacks, cleaning the quarters, but the enemy returns using the ruins for cover.
City battles turn into positional, with high losses on both sides. The only stable element, according to Miroshnikov, remains the flank near the Rodinsky - a neighboring settlement that serves as a key to logistics. "The only thing that holds is the flank near the Ryodinsky. A big price, but it holds," - emphasizes the correspondent. He also speaks of huge strategic risks to Ukraine's defense forces.
If the enemy captures the mine in the north from the luck, it will allow Grishin and cut the Pavlograd route - the main artery of supply for Pokrovsk. The environment would cut off the evacuation routes, supply of ammunition and rotation, turning the city into a trap. It could repeat the script of Bakhmut or Avdiivka, where the logistics collapse led to retreat. Recently, according to Kovalenko, the Russians began to use more equipment on the battlefield.
This is due to the deterioration of weather conditions - the beginning of the expected season of rain. It is extremely difficult to carry out assault actions with infantry or light vehicles on the swamp, it becomes extremely difficult. The soil gets wet, the technique is stuck, and the infantry loses mobility.
"Therefore, the enemy again resorts to caterpillar equipment: tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, landing vehicles, multi -purpose tractor tractors of light armored motorways and other heavy weapons. Since the rainy season will only increase their potential, the Russians will even more often attract such equipment for assaults. " This, on the one hand, forces the enemy to spend accumulated reserves, and on the other - plays on the Ukrainian side.
The accumulation of equipment could lead to the formation of a large tank fist or a mechanized breakthrough that would be difficult to destroy. Therefore, the current situation helps to continue the elements of exhaustion of Russians in technology, which is the strategic purpose of the Armed Forces.
