Ecosoft and Aquaphor companies are engaged in drinking water in Ukraine

In the domestic market of drinking water purification systems, companies operating in Russia continue to operate-Ecosoft and Aquaphor-West. One of them belongs to the Austrian holding, which is still present in the Russian Federation, the other - the Russian multimillionaire Joseph Schmidt, - said in a study by Apostrophe, UNIAN reports.

Investigators indicate the cynicism of the situation - to solve problems with drinking water that have arisen, in particular, as a result of the exploration of the Russians by Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plants, considerable money is earned by companies present in the Russian market or owned by the Russians. They pay taxes to the Russian budget and actually finance the war against Ukraine, journalists say.

It is about the Austrian BWT that has absorbed Ecosoft and increases the presence in Ukraine and Russia. Recall that in 2018, Ecosoft sold a share in the company to one of the largest players in this field - the Austrian BWT. In the Russian market, according to the media, BWT has carried out a similar absorption of the company "Bruer", which owns 40% of the entire market of water purification systems in the Russian Federation.

BWT in Ukraine without interference is involved in the implementation of projects for providing access to drinking water and towns, modular settlements for IDPs affected by armed aggression, and at the same time is a donor of this aggression, - the Apostrophe journalists emphasize. Another company that is active in the Ukrainian market is Aquaphor. According to journalists, it was founded by Russian Joseph Schmidt in St. Petersburg in 1992.

In the Ukrainian market, it works as Aquaform-West, and positions itself as a Ukrainian branch of the global Aquaphor International. Interestingly, after February 24, 2022, Aquaphor International exported goods worth over $ 60 million to the Russian Federation. In fact, Aquafor is one of the leaders of the Russian market for water purification. And Joseph Schmidt is a Russian multimillionaire. And in fact it belongs to both the global company and its Ukrainian branch.

In the Ukrainian Register among the beneficiaries of Aquaform-West is as Schmidt Joseph L. Apostrophe researchers emphasize that the Russian multimillionaire is openly in Ukrainian registers, develops business in Ukraine and enriched in the war that finances itself. Also, the authors of the study point out that such incidents are not accidental because Russia has conducted a strategy for economic and political absorption for a long time.
