Minus one sponsor of war: NAPC was expelled from the list of diamond company from India

One of the world's largest diamond companies has agreed to comply with sanctions and not trade with the aggressor. The National Anti -Corruption Agency (NAPC) has decided to exclude from the list of international sponsors of the world the largest company in the production and export of diamonds of Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK) from India. The message about this appeared on Friday, October 13. The agency explained the reasons why they made such a decision.

So, it is reported that: The NAPC noted that India is one of the main buyers of diamonds, in particular small diamond raw materials from Russia. The country is also the world's largest diamond production center. If SRK really adheres to its promises, then it will strongly hit Russia's ability to fight against Ukraine. At the same time, the agency expects that G7 will soon decide to introduce a general embargo on Russian diamonds. "No one wants to get a bloody wedding or baby's birthday.

The world wants to consume responsibly. And we believe that diamond manufacturers will hear their consumers and enjoy them enjoy diamonds, instead of concern about the real origin of stones," said the head of the National Agency for Prevention Corruption Alexander Novikov. It is planned that restrictive measures from the European Union will be developed during the fall of 2023, and they will work as early as January 1, 2024.

It is known that only stones with non -Russian marking will be imported into the EU territory. At the same time, the G7 countries should still study the technical details of diamond ban, and after that the European Union will be able to develop the rules of sanctions. The plan itself is that the prohibition will be purchased diamonds directly from the Russian giant of PJSC "Alros" or from predists in India or the United Arab Emirates.
