In the Russian Federation, the Ghost Ax UAV was presented: the evolution of carrier drones or marketing - analysts
"The multi-rotor drone raises the aircraft-type UAV to the height, and it starts directly in the air - the new approach not only allows you to save up to 20% of the battery charge energy that is consumed during take-off, but also makes the launch process itself safer. At the same time, the flying drone port after launch can perform the function of a repeater", - says the publication of the TASS agency.
The "Ghost" drone itself, according to the developers, has a flight range of up to 120 km with a payload of up to 3 kg. However, analysts note, the novelty of such a decision raises questions, since it is about long-known so-called drones, which are used by both the Ukrainian military and the occupiers. For example, Russian publications have already described cases of conversion of the Orlan-30 drone as a carrier of FPV drones.
And foreign models, such as the German Sparta from Quantum Systems, are positioned as carriers with the ability to carry small strike units under the wing at a distance of up to 200 km. "Of course, it is still worth paying attention to the fact that the enemy is looking for new opportunities and increases the variability of the use of forces and means of delivery of drones tens, and sometimes even hundreds of kilometers deep into the front line," Defense Express emphasized.
We will remind, at the beginning of August it became known that in the Donetsk region, servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine captured the Orlan-30 reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle of the Russian Armed Forces. The Ukrainian military drew attention to the dimensions of the Russian apparatus, noting that the video camera alone is the size of "three heads".
