The organizers of "evacuation" of cultural heritage of Ukraine did not take care of proper transportation of exhibits. The paintings were wrapped with rags and loaded with trucks. The Russian military under the slogans of "preservation of cultural values" was removed from the Kherson Art Museum named after Silkunenko valuable works of art of the XVII-XX centuries. As the Museum's press service reported on Facebook, the property and a collection of valuable exhibits were sent to Simferopol.

The publication states that the occupying power organized up to four dozen people who devastated the Art Museum from October 31 to November 1. At the same time, the organizers of the robbery did not even take care of the proper conditions of transportation - the paintings were not packed in a special way, but simply wrapped in some rags and loaded into the wagons.

"On November 1, three trucks and a school bus were accompanied by a civilian bus and the machine guns, two more trucks, on November 2, on November 3, the rest of the bus was already taken without armed security," the statement said. What exhibits were removed from the museum is not specified, the material says that they undoubtedly stole the most valuable objects of art of the XVII-XIX centuries.

At the same time, it is emphasized that despite the delivery of exhibits to the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea is not the fact that there will be the last destination. She managed the so -called evacuation of the "Director" of the Museum Natalia Ditova, who was assisted by several employees who agreed to work for the Russians. And they accept a collection from the Kherson Museum Museum Natalia Koltsova and Inna Burenko, who had previously left for Crimea.

The collection of the Kherson Art Museum named after Shovkunenko has about twelve thousand works of painting, graphics, sculptures, decorative and applied arts of different periods and thematic directions. It is based on the private meeting of the famous St. Petersburg collector Maria Kornilovskaya, the collection of the former art department of the Kherson Museum of Local History, as well as works from private meetings of Ukraine and the world.

Among the museum exhibits were the works of Ukrainian and foreign masters, such as Ivan Shishkin, Alexei Savrasov, Zinaida Serebryakov, Konstantin Kryzhytsky, Mykola Kuznetsov, Mykola Skadovsky, Alexey Bogolyubov, Konstantin Trutovsky. The museum also suggested that the guests get acquainted with Chinese vases, Japanese ink stones and other valuable objects of oriental culture.
