The President of Ukraine in Lviv visited the wounded military personnel and honored the memory of those who died in the war with Russia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky started a working trip to Lviv region. Upon his arrival in Lviv, the head of state heard a report of local leadership on the organization of evacuation of citizens from the zones of hostilities. In total, more than 3. 8 million people have been evacuated since the war of the war, including 600,000 abroad.

For them, temporary accommodation points were launched, food was organized, medical care and further transportation to other countries were available in the event of such a desire. Evacuation from Lviv outside Ukraine was carried out by trains and buses. More than 76 thousand citizens were exported by bus transport.

Today, at the initiative of the Presidential Office at the Lviv Station, the evacuated assistance is assisted in receiving temporary housing in safer regions within the framework of the program "Where you are waiting". The President also visited servicemen wounded during hostilities undergoing treatment in one of the city's medical institutions. Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked their well -being, thanked for the service and selfless protection of the Motherland and presented state awards.

The head of state said that since the beginning of full -scale armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine in the medical institution, more than 9,000 servicemen (more than 3. 4 thousand wounded, about 2. 1 thousand injured and almost 3. 6 thousand patients) were assisted. In addition, the President participated in the ceremony of commemoration of Ukrainian soldiers who died in the war against Russian invaders. The ceremony took place on the Lychakiv Cemetery Mars.
