New weapons rather than stocks: Finland launches Ukraine support program for 660 million euros

Finland launches a new military support program of Ukraine-oriented weapons from the National Defense and Industrial Complex (OPC). Instead of transferring weapons from their own stocks, Finland will now focus on the order of products from Finnish enterprises, which will then be transferred to Ukraine. The Ministry plans to allocate 660 million euros to implement this initiative. "Thanks to this new support program, Finnish companies will play a key role in supporting Ukraine.

We still supported Ukraine mainly through the transfer of stocks, but in the future we will order considerable volumes of products from our companies," said the Minister of Defense of the Country Antta Hakkyanen. Procurement for Ukraine will be carried out by the Finland Defense Forces Department. At the same time, a round table with the participation of arms manufacturers will be held under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Defense, where financial and logistics issues will be discussed.
