According to Mayor Melitopol, the centers of recruitment for contract service are now operating in several uncontrolled cities. In many enterprises, employees are forced to register for further conscription to the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The Russian military is carrying a new wave of mass mobilization in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhya region. This was stated by the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov on the air of the national telecommunication.

According to his statements, the occupying power forces the locals to enter into contracts with a hostile armed contingent. "The mobilization in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhya region has begun. There are military registration at all enterprises and they force our residents to sign contracts," Fedorov said.

In addition, he added that now the centers of recruitment for the contract service work in Melitopol, Berdyansk and other temporarily occupied settlements of Zaporizhzhya region - in Yakimovka, Tokmak, Primorsk, Pryazovsky. In the report, he added that many enterprises are forcing workers to become conscripts and sign contracts with the army of a hostile state. According to Fedorov, the occupying power also sends SMS with proposals to join the Armed Forces of the aggressor country.

He adds that in 2024, the Russian Zaporizhzhya region plans to be attributed to the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation - and this will be another step towards forced mobilization.
