The deputy head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva met with NATO Secretary General on Public Diplomacy Marie-Doa Beseno. Igor Zhovkva informed about the security situation in Ukraine, in particular about the offensive of Russian invaders in Kharkiv and increased missile strikes by the Russian aggressor state. “Ukraine and the Ukrainian Army have been protecting the Eastern Flank NATO for over two years.
We critically need to strengthen our air defense and supply the necessary military assistance from the member countries as soon as possible, ”Igor Zhovkva said. During the meeting, they also discussed the preparation for the NATO summit in Washington. The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office stressed that it is important for Ukraine to make strong decisions on the movement of our country in the West to membership in the Alliance.
