"This is part of Russia": the German airline refused the Bulgarian Aviation Service

The Bulgaria Ambassador to the United States Georgy Panayotov said that Lufthansa had refused to accompany him in the Lufthansa airline. At the last moment, the German Airlines Lufthansa abolished the already paid service service with the support of the 12-year-old son of Bulgaria Ambassador to the United States and former Defense Minister Georgy Panayotov. The company argued that Bulgaria is part of the Russian Federation. He reported on his Facebook page about the incident.

According to the diplomat, his son headed home to Bulgaria for Christmas. He had to translate at Frankfurt Airport from a flight to a plane from Washington to the one that goes to Sofia, accompanied by an employee of Lufthansa. "Theo is 12 years old, and he has never traveled. The service was paid and confirmed by the company. On the day of departure, I received a message that the service has been canceled.

The reason that Lufthansa refers to is that Bulgaria is part of the Russian Federation!" , - Georgy Panayotov indignantly. The ambassador noted that this incident caused psychological trauma to his child. Later, Panayiotov reported that the crew of the aircraft helped his son find the right flight and added that he considers the words of the airline "absurd and scandalous". Georgy Panayotov also mentioned that he has no intention of compensation from the airline, but is counting on explanation.

He also refused to help the media, thanking reporters for their interest in his history. "I have no doubt that this incident is associated with illiteracy, semi -literacy, ignorance. Which is very bad but not dramatic, and even more tragically. I hope theo takes it as annoyance of life and I hope that it will not happen to anyone ! ", - summed up the Ambassador of Bulgaria. Recall that on December 9, the Bulgaria Parliament approved a list of weapons for Ukraine.

Thus, for the first time since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the country will provide military assistance to Ukraine.
