In two years, 10% of Ukrainians have stopped believing in the victory over the Russian Federation in the war - a survey

Most in the victory are the residents of the event, the south and the center of Ukraine, the least - in the east. Also, the number of those who are difficult to answer, who will win in the war, has also increased. Compared to June 2022, Ukraine has become 10% fewer citizens who believe that Ukraine will win the war with Russia. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the sociological group "Rating" from February 17 to February 21, 2024.

As of February 2024, only 88% of Ukrainians answered "yes" to the question "Do you believe that Ukraine will win in the war?" In June 2022, this figure was 98%. The number of those who believe that Ukraine is defeated has also increased. If in June 2022 only 1% of respondents replied that Ukraine would be defeated, then in February 2024, 8% of Ukrainians answered so. It also increased those who are difficult to answer this question: from 1% - in June 2022 to 3% - in February 2024.

The residents of the event (91%), south (89%) and the center (88%) of Ukraine, are most believed in the victory. The least - in the east - 82%. Among the age groups of the population, the most optimistic were people who are over 51 years old - 91%. In the second place, young people from 18 to 35 years (87%), the lowest indicator in those who from 36 to 50 years - 86%. The survey was conducted by telephone interviews using a computer based on a random sampling of mobile numbers.

In total, 2000 residents of Ukraine aged 18 years and older were interviewed. The error of representative of the study does not exceed 3. 5%. The reach ratio of respondents is 14%. We will remind, most Ukrainians do not want to mobilize to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine because of the fear of dying, getting disability or capturing. Much of the citizens do not mobilize because they consider the process of conscription to the army unfair.
