Warsaw does not need NATO consent to knock Russian goals over Ukraine - the Excellence of Poland's Defense

Missile knocking can be an individual decision of Poland. However, other countries of the organization do not have to categorically test against such a decision. The decision to kill the air goals issued by the Russian army over the territory of Ukraine can be made only by several NATO countries, without the involvement of all the North Atlantic Alliance. Former National Defense Minister Janusz Onyshkevich stated this.

According to a military expert, a violation of the Russian object of the airspace of the Republic of Poland actualizes the topic of possible killing of Russian air purposes over Ukraine by systems of air defense of a neighboring country. "It is necessary to go back to this and it is not necessary to hide your head in the sand," - said the ex -national defense of Poland, fully assuming that such incidents can occur repeatedly in the future.

He noted that this decision should not even happen at the NATO level. To do this, emphasized the excendant, one or more countries of the organization will be enough. However, given the need for a certain solidarity and unanimity, this decision should be made without outright protests by other Member States.

"Missile confusion may well be an individual decision of Poland, such as in cooperation with the US, the United Kingdom, or some other country," said Janusz Onyshkevich, adding that this decision should not be a surprise to other alliance country.
