Analysts believe that the new head of the White House will increase the pressure...

If Putin does not want to stop the war, Trump will start to "bomb" the economy of the Russian Federation - The Telegraph

Analysts believe that the new head of the White House will increase the pressure on Moscow, putting the conditions for termination of hostilities in Ukraine in an ultimate form. Against the background of a continuing military conflict in Ukraine, Russia faces increasing economic difficulties, which significantly weakens its position on the world stage.

The situation is worsened by the coming to power in the US Donald Trump, who, although he has repeatedly expressed his intentions to complete the war in Ukraine, can put an ultimatum of Moscow, which will hit the economic potential of the Russian Federation. This is stated in The Telegraph. After Donald Trump's victory, in the 2016 elections, the Kremlin expected a softening US foreign policy, which was accompanied by optimistic sentiments.

However, during his presidential term, Trump has imposed more than 40 packages of sanctions against Russia, significantly increasing economic pressure. These measures included restrictions on access to Western technologies, key sectors such as energy and finances, as well as isolation of individual banks and companies. As a result, the Russian economy has encountered a systemic crisis: oil exports have doubled, and budget revenues do not cover military expenditures that consume up to 10% of GDP.

With the approach of the new presidential elections in the United States, the Kremlin was counting on destabilization of American democracy, which could weaken Washington's global leadership. However, this did not happen. Trump's success in strengthening the economic power of the United States and its ultimativative approach to international policy threaten new challenges for Moscow.

Political analyst Anton Barbashin from Riddo Russia notes that Trump's position leaves no doubt: if Russia tries to delay the conflict, economic measures will be strengthened and sanction policy will intensify. According to him, the Kremlin expects Trump to put ultimatums and Kiev and Moscow.

For example, if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy disagrees to peaceful conditions, the United States will stop all military assistance; If Putin is not compliant, Washington will increase military assistance and start a "carpet bombing of the Russian economy. " Thus, experts believe that in the event of Trump's return to the post of president, the pressure on Russia will only intensify.

The new White House Head can make stringent demands of both Moscow and Kiev, seeking the speedy completion of the conflict under the conditions of favorable US. This puts the Kremlin before a difficult choice - to continue the war against the backdrop of growing isolation or to make concessions in peace talks.
