President

A lot depends on America, because it is the American power in Russia that is considered the most - the address of the President

I wish you health! Today is a hard and long day. From the night - reports from the military, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reports from the regions on our resistance to the Russian attack and on our recovery. It was a massive blow – and it's especially cynical that Russia would strike like this when talks about how to end the war are ongoing. America is very active and Europe is very active, as are our other partners.

Everyone has the same agenda, and only in Moscow does the war against Ukraine always remain their first priority. Hits like today confirm this. And that is why it is extremely important for all of us not to forget the real situation, not to forget what is happening here and now, and to counter Russian strikes. Of course, counter 24/7. 24/7 Ukrainian representatives are working with America and with those who can help, so that there are really real, effective steps to end this war.

Likewise, we do everything 24/7 to ensure that our army and our people have the ability to defend themselves. Today there was a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing - a very substantive conversation. I want to thank first of all Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, Friedrich Mertz for the co-organization. And there was Marco Rubio from America, there were almost 40 participants: Europe, the United States, there was Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand.

The extremely important message that unites all of us is that we must coordinate our diplomacy very objectively, take into account the interests of our partners, if they are affected by this or that step. And we remember: now you can't relax, relax, you can't lose unity, you can't. Now it is necessary to defend against Russian attacks, from Russian assaults. Ukraine must be guaranteed stability. These are absolutely specific tasks. Air defense is necessary. We need defense packages.

I want to thank each partner for participating in the PURL program, which allows us to buy American weapons, including missiles for the Patriot systems. Last night, our anti-missile defense worked well - cruise missiles were shot down, and also ballistic missiles, aeroballistic. More than 400 attack drones were also shot down. In order for us to do this, we need an appropriate resource, and together with our partners, we provide such an opportunity for our state, for Ukraine.

Today there is a new sanctions decision of Ukraine, this is an important decision - we applied sanctions to sea vessels that were transporting Ukrainian grain from the occupied territory. Fifty-six such vessels. This is a new direction of our sanctions, and some of these vessels have already been sanctioned by our partners, but not all, and we will increase this pressure. Every Russian crime must receive an appropriate response, and sanctions are the most prompt response.

During that day, I spoke separately with the Prime Minister of Great Britain, with the Chancellor of Germany, and with the President of Finland. Today we also worked with the Ukrainian negotiating team regarding the text of the document, which was worked out with the United States of America in Geneva. The principles of this document can be developed into deeper agreements. And this is our common interest – that security is real.
